Denice is passionate about teaching Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. After her first class with Sat Jivan Kaur in the fall of '98 she knew that to fulfill the longing of her soul she had to study and teach Kundalini Yoga. Sparked by that moment of heartfelt realization she has become a great teacher of Kundalini Yoga. Denice also leads workshops and lectures on Stress Management and Relaxation and Aromatherapy. She works closely with Dr. Dharma Singh Khalsa of the Alzheimer's Prevention Foundation in Arizona, providing one-on-one support and meditation training for people with memory loss conditions.
Kundalini also influences her art as well as her life. As a performance artist with over 20 years experience in acting, singing and dancing, she incorporates all the wisdom and inspiration from her yoga practice into her designs and choreography. Denice has continued her professional yoga studies in New York and in New Mexico with Yogi Bhajan, where she completed the first series of Level 2 training in Kundalini Yoga entitled "Conscious Communication". She has also studied Prenatal Yoga with Gurmukh, Anatomy with Tias Little, and Yoga and Meditation for Healthy Brain Function with Dr. Dharma Singh Khalsa. "There are so many wonderful benefits
from practicing yoga and meditation,
and I think the most magnificent experience
is when you finally make that connection
to Self. You feel yourself breathe. You
feel your body moving and churning and waking up to its fullest expression. You feel, perhaps for the first time, what it is to be
aware of your life and to recognize your
true Spirit. This is why I teach - because
I've had all these transforming feelings
and I want more of this for everyone else!"
