
What is Kundalini Yoga?
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a 5,000-year-old authentic system of yoga exercise and meditation that promotes health, happiness, and spiritual awareness. It is a complete science that combines postures (asanas), movement, sound current (mantra), breath (pranayam) and meditation into powerful sets called kriyas, It is designed to provide you with the experience of your highest consciousness through the raising of your Kundalini.
The word "kundalini" literally means "the curl of the lock of hair of the beloved." It is a metaphor, a poetic way of describing the flow of energy and consciousness that already exists within each one of us. These practices enable you to merge with, or "yoke" with, the universal Self. This merging of individual consciousness with universal consciousness creates a "divine union" called "yoga." *
Kundalini Yoga is more than just a great physical workout. Called the Yoga of Awareness, it is an incredible experience in awakening and raising your consciousness, keeping you young, giving you fullness of heart while it heals you on a cellular level, giving you health, happiness and the ability to commit while building character and stamina. And you don't have to be an acrobat or gymnast to experience the sublime power of your creative potential being released.
Through Kundalini Yoga people have healed themselves of the pain of physical illness, mental pressure, drug and alcohol addiction, and more. Because Kundalini Yoga develops the total person, practitioners also become more intuitive, more sensitive, and more subtle within the shortest possible time.

Through yogic breathing techniques and meditation, peace of mind can be obtained giving an experience of deep inner calm and self-confidence. It gives you the vitality and health that is your birthright. It makes you radiant, peaceful and strong so that you can meet life's challenges and win.
Kundalini Yoga is more than just a system of physical exercise. The technology of Kundalini Yoga is aimed at enhancing your relationship with your spirit, that part of you that is eternal. Therefore, it is universal and nondenominational. No matter what religious path a person follows, Kundalini Yoga helps you experience their personal beliefs in a deeper, more meaningful manner.
How to Prepare
You should avoid eating solid foods for at least two hours before class, but drinking water is fine. Many visitors bring along a small bottle of water to sip during the session. We have bottles available for sale in the store.
Please wear modest, comfortable light colored/non transparent clothing.
